Wroclaw Cycling Initiative

Wroclaw Cycling Initiative (Wrocławska Inicjatywa Rowerowa) has been in existence since 2006. We are a non-governmental organization acting in the interest of cyclists and promoting cycling as an important element of sustainable transport in the city, as well as a great way for recreation and tourism. We focus our activities in Wroclaw, although we are also familiar with nationwide and international actions. We rely on volunteer work, as well as the implementation of projects financed from earmarked subsidies.

Our main statutory goals include supporting the development and promotion of cycling in cities, raising public awareness and education in shaping responsible and conscious transport behavior and respect for the natural environment, monitoring transport policy and spending public money, as well as preventing discrimination against non-motorized means of transport in city traffic.
